Baseball, Fireworks,Legos, and Lost teeth

The kids are loving baseball, even if we are less than faithful about getting them to every practice. Alex hits the ball just about every time now, and Lily is getting really good at finding rolly pollies in the grass.

There was a wedding at the clubhouse the other night where there was a nice little fireworks show.. We thought it was really nice for them to give us fireworks in honor of us being us. At least that's what we thought it was for.

Alex built a lego structure that he thought it imperative that I photograph. It was important enough at the time that I thought it prudent to include it in my update.

And finally...for Grandpa Ron's birthday Tuesday night the Sullivans invited us up to their family's ranch in Pine Valley. It was so incredibly beautiful up there. I hope they're not to upset when one day they drive up and and we've built a small structure and have moved our family in.

In addition to the birthday festivities, we celebrated the loss of Dear Lily's first tooth! It is a bitter sweet milestone when my kids lose their first tooth. Suddenly they only baby part left of them is litterally falling out of their head. Add onto that the fact that Lily is about to graduate from Kindergarten next week, which, for both children has been a harder milestone for me than the first day of Kindergarten. I'm much more melancholy when they move on to first grade. Ah, me.

Lily also got to pet (and get loved on) by the new filly up there, which was oh,so adorable for my animal-loving girl. Like a dream come true, that night was, in so many ways. Thanks to the Sullivan's for inviting us!!

Here's my last Lily story...when she lost her tooth it fell to the ground and she was so shocked, excited, and happy that she left it there and ran off to find me. When we went back to look for it, we all found it but she couldn't see it. Everyone kept pointing at it but she just couldn't recognize it out of her mouth. Finally, she picked up a small white rock right next to the tooth and said, "Oh here it is!"

I love that girl.
