To start off the new year
I worked a total of 27 hours over the last 2 days...add two sick kids + recovering from having guests the last few days + family reunion + Christmas right before that = I have a really messy house. I care a lot less about that than I used to, but it still makes me a little anxious when it gets this bad. Only one thing to do at this point...take a picture and get to work.

Babes in Sand Hollow
Image created with Snapseed
I knitted these two goodies for some babies being born soon. I LOVE this pattern! Sweatshop of love from Ravelry...just for my own remembrance. It's just a basic pattern but with a lot of variations. I've been having a bit of a knitting renaissance probably due to the holiday season upon us. I have a poncho on needles for Lily out of leftover green, and a sack full of brights I originally bought for stockings but I think will turn into a throw for the couch.
Alex, what can I knit for you?

A Halloween recap
Lily was a kitty this year. I knitted her paws.
WHAAAAAAA!!! Oh, sorry...it's just Alex dressed as a spooky hooded figure. I think he wanted this costume as much for his videos he likes to make as for his Halloween costume. He was quite eerie.
Hi Lily!
For Trick-or-treating I painted her face. It was kind of last minute, so I was glad it turned out as well as it did. Do you see the chip in her front tooth? That's from the bump on the head that caused her nasty concussion a few months back. I don't think I've recorded that story anywhere, so maybe that's a future post.
So Alex, how am I doing? Leave me a comment if I've left anything out. :)
A few fall memories
I don't exactly know what's happening here, but it seemed noteworthy...
I love how they are all barefoot...
A good old fashioned gunny sack race at the Spooky Town Fair...
This look is not representative of their actual feeling of the fair. There were just a lot of bees by the cookies, and it was a little dis-concerning.
Buster and Horsey...
