Jake was reminiscing about life before kids and how great it was when I pointed out that in 20 years he will look back on this time with his kids and wish he had appreciated it more, because , after all, they're only young once and it will only get more miserable.
And as he stood up and walked out of the room I could hear him say,
"I'm going to go take a shower; because in the shower no one can tell that I'm crying."
